Mixing
Your stems or session files become a focused stereo mix: balance, space and dynamics that fit your genre, without weeks at the faders on your own. Attended or offline, with clear delivery and revision rules.

Mixing at Mushyvanta is for artists, producers and labels in Amsterdam who want a mix that translates on headphones and speakers. We work from our control room in Amsterdam-West, with treated monitoring and analog outboard where it serves the song. Since 2018 we have mixed pop, hip-hop, rock and electronic material that moves on to mastering or direct release.
Deliver printed WAV stems or exports from our vocal recording or band recording. In intake we agree references, loudness targets and whether you want attended time at €95 per hour. For pricing choices see understand mix pricing.
Process
Brief
You send a track list, BPM, key and two or three references. We reply within 2 business days with scope, price and timeline.
Import check
We verify sync, clipping, stem names and head or tail silence. Missing sends or sample-rate mismatches are flagged before the clock starts.
Mix pass
The engineer builds balance, EQ, compression, effects and automation. Attended sessions let you steer in real time; offline mixes follow your brief.
Revisions
You receive a stereo mix (and stems if agreed). Up to 2 revision rounds are included; after that terms and conditions apply. Session archive: 12 months.
Who is this for?
You tracked at home, in our live room (42 m²), or received stems from a collaborator. Mixing is where the story locks: vocal forward, kick and bass solid, guitars not fighting each other.
Labels and sync teams sometimes send batches with fixed naming and loudness notes. Minimum age to attend in studio is 16; younger artists come with a guardian.
- Singles and album tracks before mastering
- Remixes with new layers over an instrumental
- Podcast beds and short jingles
- Demos that need a credible sound for pitching
Attended vs offline
Offline (fixed €219 per track) suits clear references and flexible listening on your schedule. The engineer mixes in blocks; you get a first pass and send bundled notes.
Attended (€95 incl. VAT) helps when you want to discuss ad-libs, effect throws and drop automation live. Plan at least three hours for a moderately complex song; EPs are quoted separately.
Both paths include 2 revision rounds; only the way you collaborate differs.
Stem delivery
One folder per song with consistent names: Song_Instrument.wav. Preferred: WAV 24-bit, 48 kHz; 44.1 kHz is fine if everything matches. Avoid mp3 stems unless that is the only source — say so in your email.
An extra stem pack covers additional groups beyond the base track (extra vocal stacks, percussion layers): €89 per pack. Estimate packs in advance; our mix pricing guide helps.
Include a rough mix so we hear intent, plus tuning or tempo notes. Export questions? Contact us or FAQ.
Who mixes your song?
Mix sessions are scheduled with our mix and mastering team; Sophie de Vries is a mix engineer at Mushyvanta. Lars van der Berg coordinates planning across 3 rooms so mixing does not clash with band sessions.
We do not write songs or full production inside the per-track fee — only mix decisions, routing and technical fixes that belong to mixing. Heavy tuning or comp editing is quoted separately.
Delivery and formats
Default: stereo mix WAV 24-bit at project sample rate. On request: instrumental, TV mix without vocal, or stem bounces after mix approval.
€219 does not include mastering (from €89 per track). We leave headroom for the mastering engineer.
Typical turnaround: first mix within 5–10 business days after complete delivery, depending on queue. Rush may be possible when the calendar allows within Tue–Sat 10–22.
Revisions
Each track includes 2 revision rounds. One round means one bundled list (email or doc), not scattered messages over days. Example: “vocal +1 dB in chorus, hi-hat down slightly, shorter reverb on bridge”.
New stems or a new arrangement after approval is extra work. Additional rounds or attended hours are priced upfront. See terms and conditions and the rate table below.

Not included
Mastering, deep editing (tuning, timing, drum replacement), hiring musicians, sample clearance and distribution sit outside mixing. Re-amping guitars in our live room is a band recording booking, not part of the mix hourly rate.
Stem checks without a full mix can be a short consult — not a substitute for €219. File handling: privacy policy.

FAQ
How many stems fit €219?
The base price covers a typical indie or pop track: rhythm section, a few guitars or keys, lead vocal and common doubles. Large layer counts use €89 stem packs — describe the project in intake. See our mix pricing guide.
Can I attend the mix?
Yes, at €95 attended. Book enough hours; complex songs rarely finish in one. Offline is often better when references are clear.
Will you mix beats I bought online?
Only if your licence allows stems or WAV export. Send licence proof; we do not mix unauthorized material. Rights questions: disclaimer and your label deal.
What if my delivery is late?
Deadline moves to the next open slot. Do not send incomplete stems as “final” — that burns revisions. Rush by agreement within Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–22:00; closed Monday and Sunday. Evening sessions by appointment..
Is mastering included?
No. Mastering is a separate service (€89 per track). We deliver mixes ready for that step.
