Understand mix costs before you book

A mix quote is not a surprise invoice when you know which choices drive the price. This guide ties our rates to scope, files and revisions — for releases from Amsterdam and beyond.

Producer reviews track list and plan at studio desk under warm light.

Where the base price comes from

Our standard Mixing rate is €219 per stereo track incl. 21% VAT. That covers balancing, EQ, dynamics, spatial placement and a stereo export ready for mastering. It is one finished song with a clear structure, not an open-ended production day.

Need multiple versions (radio edit, instrumental, acapella)? Say so at intake. Sometimes that fits the same track fee; sometimes an extra export is a small add-on. Rates also live on mixing and services.

Stem packs and when you need them

Are we mixing from your full DAW session or from grouped stems? Extra stem packs are €89 incl. VAT each. A pack is a logical group — drums, bass, synths, vocals — we balance before printing the full mix.

Stems help if you want later tweaks, a remix path or a producer abroad reviewing groups. Deliver WAV at the session sample rate, no limiter on the bus. Vague names ("Audio 47") cost time; that time is not unlimited.

Attended mixing by the hour

Want to listen in and decide live? Attended mixing is €95 per hour incl. VAT. It suits dense arrangements, first albums where taste is still forming, or artists hearing their multitrack properly for the first time.

Remote notes work too: we send a pass, you reply with timestamps. Attended is optional; many Amsterdam clients upload files and only visit for a final pass if they want. Book inside Tue–Sat 10–22 or ask for an evening slot via contact.

Revision rounds and "done"

Each track mix includes 2 revision rounds after the first delivery. A round is one bundled note list — not ten separate emails a day. Examples: "vocals slightly forward in chorus", "less boxy kick at 2:15", "guitars softer in bridge".

Structural changes (new recordings, arrangement swaps) sit outside revision and get quoted separately. That protects your budget and our schedule. Details are in terms and conditions.

What you send saves hours

Send a tempo map, references and notes on problems you already hear (harsh sibilance, boomy bass). Export multitracks without heavy master-bus compression hiding dynamics. Check sync and avoid clipped takes you hope we will "fix in the mix".

For vocal-heavy work, read prepare for vocal recording so tracks arrive clean. We can polish rough sources, but not every problem fits a flat per-track fee.

From mix to master: plan both

Budget mastering too. Digital mastering here is €89 per track incl. VAT; an EP up to six songs €249. Mix and master stay separate line items because they use different listening contexts — even when the same engineer handles both steps.

For delivery file types after mastering, see master delivery formats. Recording a band before mixing? Band rates are on band recording; outside per-track mix but part of your overall plan.

Deposit, cancellation and B2B terms

Scheduled work needs a 30% deposit to hold the calendar. Free cancellation applies until 7 days before the slot; after that, charges follow the terms. Business clients with invoicing may get 14 days to pay after delivery when agreed.

Site prices include VAT at 21%; net figures for your books are €180.99 per track and €73.55 per stem pack. Scope questions? Email us — reply within 2 working days.
