Two layers: recording and exploitation
Podcast recording at Mushyvanta delivers audio and basic editing at €99 per studio hour incl. VAT, or €65 per hour for edit-only work. That is technical: levels, sensible noise reduction, export. The right to put an episode online stays with you as showrunner — unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
Think in two steps: (1) permission to record and edit someone’s voice, (2) permission to distribute that recording worldwide via RSS, YouTube or social clips. Layer two is broader than “may speak in the studio”. Service detail: podcast recording.
Guest release essentials
Have guests sign (or e-sign) before recording. Minimum: name, date, show title, permission to edit (cuts, normalization, music under voice), platforms (Spotify, Apple, video), territory (worldwide or EU), duration (until revoked or X years).
Guests under 16 need guardian consent in our studio; allow extra time. Keep releases with project files; we archive sessions 12 months — not a substitute for your records. Data processing: privacy policy and data processing agreement for business clients.
Portrait rights and promo clips
Dutch portrait law protects image and recognizable voice in commercial use. Agreeing to podcast publication does not automatically allow a sponsor read featuring their voice or paid social ads.
If you cut clips for TikTok or LinkedIn promos, add language about “short excerpts for promotion”. Show-note photos need a separate photo release. When in doubt, see legal notice or counsel — we do not give legal advice; disclaimer applies.
Music, jingles and collective licensing
Intro/outro music must be licensed. Dutch platforms expect composition and recording rights cleared — via publisher, direct licence or a producer assignment. Chart tracks without clearance risk takedowns.
Custom jingle recorded here? Contract with your composer for assignment or licence (term, media, territory). Collective schemes such as Buma/Stemra mainly touch public performance/broadcast; podcast RSS is not a free pass. Polish music via mixing and mastering if needed.
Corporate speakers
B2B shows with executives: get written confirmation the speaker may bind the company and that publication does not breach confidentiality. Sensitive sectors (finance, health) benefit from a pre-upload review step.
Business invoicing may use 14 days payment terms; that does not transfer rights — paying Mushyvanta B.V. is not an implicit assignment. Trade register 70336191 is on legal notice.
GDPR: voices are personal data
A voice recording that identifies someone is personal data under GDPR. You are usually controller for your show; we process audio to deliver the service under terms and conditions. Do not use raw sessions to train AI voice models without explicit, specific consent — outside a standard guest release.
Access or erasure requests come from guests or listeners; we help technically while projects remain in archive. Website cookies are separate; see cookie policy for your own site.
What we do in session
We can send standard guest-release templates at booking and run a short rights checklist before the red light. Our podcast engineer watches consistent naming and export — mono/stereo as your host requires.

Pre-publish checklist
- Signed guest release per voice, including edit and platform scope.
- Music/jingle: written licence or own work with proof.
- Promo clips: extra line if voice appears in ads.
- Corporate: no NDA breach, authorized spokesperson.
- Export loudness/format matched to host — ask specs before session.
